Woodbourne
Woodbourne Road is an imposing brand new four storey Georgian style mansion which Hauser Design was involved with from the very beginning. Advising the client on plans, layouts, lighting and architectural features produced a magnificent blank canvas; large sash windows, deep cornices, architraves and skirting, beautiful fireplaces, and an impressive double staircase flooded with light from the roof lantern above.
The client wanted a sophisticated interior to match the grandeur and elegance of the property. Wood panelling gave a warmth and sense of permanence to the hall and study, while the bathrooms used marble and mirror for a luxury feel.
Soft tones and textures were chosen throughout with velvet buttoned sofas, deep pile throws and rugs. Murano glass chandeliers were commissioned and added a sense of opulence, accent colours were introduced with cushions, and the large scale and height of the rooms were balanced with oversized pieces, like the clocks in the drawing room and headboards in the bedrooms.
