Charity House
This rambling old property had been significantly extended and the rooms no longer worked together. The living room was very large and awkward with a prominent fish tank in a free standing pillar. Storage was non-existent and the lighting added nothing to the rooms.
A luxurious and rich scheme was created incorporating both traditional and contemporary elements with a homely yet opulent feel. The space was completely reorganised and oversized pieces such as the pots and the large velvet sofas were commissioned to match the scale of the room. A new false wall prevented the fish tank from becoming an island, and created a defined living area. American walnut wall units were designed to overcome the storage problems and the new lighting scheme allowed for interesting focal points and accents.
